Succulent Samba Shades

Once considered ‘nerdy and uncool,’ glasses have come back in vogue in a big way. The nerdier and bigger, the better. In fact, glasses have become so popular, people who don’t actually need to wear them are faking it with clear glass lenses. Oh, how the tables have turned! I love how things cycle in and out of style. It brings to mind a current interiors trend: gold and antique brass. Sayonara chrome and stainless steel, we’ll see ya in 10 years. But, I digress….

Enter the popular website, BonLook, a site dedicated to stylish eyeglasses and sunglasses. They have a ton of great looking frames ranging from classic square tortoise shell to eye-catching purple cat eyes. We were introduced to this fantastic company while at the Texas Style Council Conference, and speaking of style, these gals have it!

BonLook is not only affordable, but they are dedicated to giving personalized service and making sure you are happy with your frames. If you are unsure about what looks good on you, there’s a quiz you can take that asks questions about your style, eye color, hair color, etc. You can even upload a picture of yourself and a stylist will help you pick out frames that will fit your face shape or you can virtually try on different frames.

So inspired were we by BonLook’s selection of fun and funky eyewear, we thought, “Let’s design rooms inspired by our favorite frames.” We designed a playful Home Office / Study based on some retro, red cat eye glasses.

Then we took it a step further and designed a Patio inspired by some eclectic turquoise sunglasses. Can’t you just see yourself lounging on your new patio rocking these awesome shades?
